Pathways2 Destination

When the road breaks down, hope doesn’t have to.

Hi, I’m Kim. I started Pathways2Destination because I’ve watched too many good people stay stuck – not for lack of trying, but for lack of a ride.

The only thing standing between a person and the thing that would change their life is often just a way to get there. A bus ticket home to family. A ride to a job interview. A repair that keeps a car running so a mama doesn’t lose her job. Safety, family, work, treatment, a critical appointment – nobody should miss any of that just because they can’t get there.

It started with Dewayne.

On a Sunday, I met a man who’d been stranded in Indianapolis for sixteen days. His ride took off and left him here. His wallet was gone, so he had no ID. He’d left an abusive relationship, and a dear friend back home had just died – he desperately wanted to get to the funeral.

Sixteen days of phone calls. Nobody could help, because his situation didn’t fit neatly into any program’s boxes.

So I bought him a bus ticket myself. Monday evening at 8:10 pm, he boarded a bus for Tennessee. Tuesday night at 9:00 pm, he walked through his family’s door.

One ticket. That’s the reason this nonprofit exists.

What we do

Pathways2Destination buys transportation directly – bus tickets, transit passes, rides to critical appointments, repairs through trusted partner mechanics – for people in crisis, people facing homelessness, and people working to get back on their feet. We never hand out cash. The transportation is the tool: removing the barrier is the mission. And we do this work trusting God to fill the gap.
